The Commercial Pilot License (CPL) Program is an advanced flight training course designed for students aspiring to become professional pilots. Average Fees:
The average cost of the CPL program in India ranges between ₹20 lakhs and ₹35 lakhs, depending on the flight school, type of aircraft used for training, and number of flying hours required.
Exams to Attend:
DGCA Exams: Conducted by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), India. The exams are based on the theoretical knowledge of aviation subjects, including air navigation, meteorology, regulations, and technical subjects.
Flying Hours: Students must complete a minimum of 200 flying hours, including solo and dual flight hours, cross-country flying, and night flying.
Medical Certification: Class 1 Medical Certificate from a DGCA-approved medical examiner is mandatory.
Radio Telephony Restricted (RTR) License Exam: This exam is conducted by the Wireless Planning and Coordination Wing, Ministry of Communications, Government of India.
